When Should Pregnancy Ultrasounds Be Performed?
The ideal window for an ultrasound is between day 25 and 35 post-breeding. Earlier than 25 days may lead to false negatives, and later stages can make it harder to count fetuses accurately.
Unlike X-rays, which are used later in pregnancy for fetal counts, ultrasounds allow us to confirm pregnancy and monitor viability early on.
